Support Our School

Scrip

Earn money for your family’s tuition! Use Scrip to pay for your normal weekly purchases! Rebates add up quickly!

What is Scrip?

Scrip is a national program managed by Raise Right as an opportunity to earn money for our school and earn rebates for your tuition account that can be used for Zion, Lakeside Lutheran, or Luther Prep.

How Does It Work?

You purchase gift cards from local and national retailers that you shop at normally (Kwik Trip, Culvers, Amazon, BP, Pick n Save, Piggly Wiggly, Fleet Farm, Menards, Julie Java House, Subway, Taco Bell, Kohls, Under Armour, Walmart, Walgreens, Woodmans, hotel chains, airlines, subscription services, etc.) These can be purchased in person at school, online at www.raiseright.com, or in their app, which can all be used like cash. Some retailers are only available as physical cards, while others can be ordered and used instantly as an “e-card” option online or through the app. Make sure to choose the correct option if placing an online order. A large selection of physical cards are kept on hand for in-person sales at school.

Each retailer sets a rebate percentage that is earned with the purchase of the gift cards. The money generated by these rebates is split 50/50. 50% goes to Zion to be used for non-budgeted items as designated by Zion’s Board of Ed, and the other 50% goes to your choice of :

  1. credited to the enrolled family with a current or future student at Zion, LLHS, or LPS. The student must be a child, grandchild, niece/nephew, or godchild of the participating family.

  2. credited to the general Tuition Assistance fund at Zion.

The Fine Print

-In-person purchases must be paid for at pick-up by check made out to Zion Scrip.

-Some gift cards can be reloaded - look for this option online and in the app. For example: Pick n Save needs to have a physical card to swipe at the store, but money can be added/reloaded to the card to be used over and over. Similar retailers include BP, Kwik Trip, Subway, and any other retailer with a reload option.

-Zion families with children younger than school age can still participate and start earning rebate money to save for future use.

-Scrip credit can only be used for tuition, not other fees such as field trips, milk tickets, etc.

-The program begins June 1st and will accumulate tuition rebate until May to be applied for the following year’s tuition.

-Scrip purchases are not tax deductible because you receive dollar-for-dollar value.

-checks returned due to non-sufficient funds will be assessed a $30 service fee

Get Started with Scrip:

Set up your account online at www.raiseright.com

  1. Create your free account by clicking on the “Sign Up” box and choose “Join an Existing Program”

  2. Enter Zion’s Enrollment Code L5L8A37714992 to get linked to our school.

  3. Click “Join”

  4. Fill out the form to complete the registration.

  5. Optional - Set up PrestoPay. This is a payment system that is linked to your checking account that allows payment instantly post for your order, and you can use your “ecard” option immediately. Each order (it doesn’t matter how many cards are in the order) is assessed a $0.29 fee that is added to the purchase.

  6. There is also an option to pay by credit card online, but it charges a larger fee that will negate your rebate earned, so most people do not use this option.

***YOU CAN ALSO CONTACT THE SCRIP COORDINATOR, LAURA SCHULTZ (lschultzpa@gmail.com), to get a link sent to you!***
